An electric car is not a sustainability solution on its own; the whole lifecycle matters, from the supply chain to recycling.
From production to use
- Responsible-mining audits at battery-cell suppliers (cobalt, lithium, nickel)
- Recycled material share in the interior: 28% on average
- Reusable protective covers instead of disposable packaging on deliveries
Charging network
The electricity at our charging stations is renewable-energy certified (I-REC). By 2028 we plan to add solar panels and second-life battery storage to every Lumen charging point.
End of life
Batteries whose capacity falls below 70% are reused for stationary storage; those fully out of use are recycled at licensed facilities, recovering over 90% of lithium, nickel and cobalt.
You can download our carbon footprint report and targets from the Brochures and Guides section.
Targets
Solar support at all charging points by 2028, 40% recycled material in vehicle interiors by 2030 and zero single-use plastic in deliveries. We share progress transparently in our annual sustainability report.
